Unlocking the Mystical Cave in Dazzle Beach stands as one of the most vital milestones in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Initiated by Merlin, the With Great Power quest tasks players with exploring subterranean depths to free Ursula and restore harmony to the biome. Navigating this trial requires solving three distinct environmental puzzles to reach the bottom of the cavern.
Entering the Mystical Cave and Meeting Ursula
To begin the quest, players must unlock Dazzle Beach and speak with Merlin regarding a dark presence near the coastline. Heading into the cave located on the eastern side of the beach leads directly to Ursula, who requests assistance in retrieving the Orb of Power. She hands over a Crystal Key that opens the nearby Mystical Cave entrance hidden behind a large rock formation.
Once inside the cave, players encounter three magical gateways blocked by glowing barriers. Each floor presents a unique riddle that tests your farming, cooking, and gathering skills in equal measure. Preparing your inventory with basic tools and seeds beforehand makes navigating the descent far smoother.
Solving the Three Gateway Riddles
The first gateway requires placing three specific gems into the hands of statues surrounding the magic barrier. You must insert a Garnet, a Peridot, and an Aquamarine into their matching statues to lower the magical forcefield. These gems can be easily mined from rock spots scattered around the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, and Dazzle Beach.
At the second barrier, the puzzle shifts focus toward agriculture and requires planting three specific crops in front of the statues. Players must plant and fully grow a Carrot, a Tomato, and a Wheat seed in the designated soil patches. Once all three crops are harvested, the barrier disappears and allows access to the lower chamber.
Cooking the Final Meal and Retrieving the Orb
The third gate asks players to cook a meal using the three crops harvested from the previous puzzle level. Combining the Carrot, Tomato, and Wheat at the cooking station inside the cave results in a Veggie Pasta dish. Eating or placing this meal grants access to the bottom floor where the Orb of Power rests submerged in water.
Using your Fishing Rod in the glowing water bubble allows you to reel in the lost Orb of Power safely. Taking the orb back to the surface and placing it into the Pillar of Power on Dazzle Beach dispels the dark fog across the coast. Completing this storyline officially welcomes Ursula to the valley and opens new character progression paths for your village.
